Biography
Twenty years of part-time teaching Purchasing and Supply in parallel with a career in Materials Management and Procurement Development spanning both the commercial world of Manufacturing and Defence and in the public sector for Edinburgh University and the Joint Procurement Policy and Strategy Group for UK Higher Education.
First degree in Electrical Engineering, publications include a textbook Strategic Supply Management, an Implementation Toolkit (1995, and 1998), chapters in Gower Handbooks Best Practice Procurement (2001), and Purchasing Management (2002). Various papers for IPSERA conferences. Workshops on Selling to the Public Sector for BIP Solutions, and Collaborative Procurement for London Boroughs Supply Group.
Other interests include being a member of the Church of Scotland Social Care Council, Vice Chairman of Enterprise Music Scotland, Trustee and Awards Administrator for the John Tunnell Trust for Young Musicians
