Centre for Translation & Interpreting Studies in Scotland (CTISS)
The Centre for Translation & Interpreting Studies in Scotland (CTISS) conducts socially useful research that is relevant to the academic community and also engages with public interest.
CTISS aims to:
- investigate the nature of the process of translating
- disseminate research
- promote awareness of issues relating to the profession
- train interpreters and translators
It is one of only four UK institutions that belong to CIUTI (Conférence Internationale d'Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes).
