Undergraduate students obtaining our degree in Accountancy & Finance have access to an accelerated route to qualifying with one of the professional accounting bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland (ICAS) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Our research in Accountancy & Finance benefits from interdisciplinary collaboration both within the School as well as across other key areas of expertise in the University such as actuarial mathematics and financial risk. The Centre for Finance and Investment (CFI) brings together much of this collaboration and also involves industry practitioners.

We also enjoy a strong international reputation in research, particularly in the economics of transition economies with the Centre for Economic Reform and Transition (CERT) a leading international authority in the field.
We are part of the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics (SGPE), and the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics (SIRE) to provide excellence in teaching, research, and knowledge exchange
