Conference interpreting

The course develops the skills and techniques of conference interpreting (consecutive and simultaneous) to professional standards. Students attend language-specific workshops in which they practice consecutive and simultaneous interpreting between their chosen languages (from French, German and Spanish), following a programme of appropriate speeches. Students also attend a mini-conference at which they are expected to participate as speakers, as well as to practise both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.
